From early July Rail Sidings Limited have started to accept rolling stock on to the Eastriggs site in
Dumfries and Galloway.
A former Ministry of Defence facility, the 13 acre RSL Eastriggs sidings are close to the West Coast Main Line and ongoing commissioning work is gathering pace with ground maintenance works together with the installation of a 40 metre all-weather portable shelter.
RSL Eastriggs will soon benefit from added capacity with a shunter due for delivery in August which will enable futher on-site asset movements.
This unique location was once part of the largest munitions works in the world and the nearby ‘Devils Porridge’ Museum will soon be assisting driver experience courses which further enhance the Eastriggs project.
